Another spooky book from the grade school book fair. I was always intrigued by ghosts and the creepy cover art told me this was a book to buy. I'm not sure if I ever read it, but I definitely enjoyed staring at the cover. It captures all the major scary stuff - skeletons, haunted houses, ghost ships and graveyards. What more could a kid ask for?

Another spooky book from the grade school book fair. I was always intrigued by ghosts and the creepy cover art told me this was a book to buy. I'm not sure if I ever read it, but I definitely enjoyed staring at the cover. It captures all the major scary stuff - skeletons, haunted houses, ghost ships and graveyards. What more could a kid ask for?

These Book Fair books are alarming me more and more. Either that or they are making me jealous. We went to Beck's bookfair this year and there was nothing that fun there. Pretty dull fare these Post Patriot Act days.
I don't think they'd dare to let a kid see something spooky these days. God forbid one of them should find them scary, or become interested in reading, or decide to do some creative writing.
Ah, nothing was more exciting than a book of ghost stories. I remember getting a Return of the Jedi book at one of these book fairs. It had a picture of Princess Leia showing considerable cleavage in her slave girl outfit. My friends and I just stared in reverential silence . . . nobody dared speak.
My friends stared at Hans and Luke, but of course their cleavage wasn't as exposed at Leia's.
