Jigsaw Don't

Anyone remember Jigsaw and their huge hit, Sky High? I have to admit I still have a soft spot for that song, even though it's an amazingly bland, agonizingly lightweight 70s song.

I got this album at a flea market in the 90s. It's the only time I've ever seen it. You'd think with Sky High being such a big hit, that there'd be thousands of these at thrift stores. Maybe it's only the Northeast that is void of Jigsaw. Perhaps in California, they're ripe with them.

Aw, come on. Skyhigh is a decent 70's song. Was that their only hit?

Perhaps my post wasn't entirely clear. I do think Skyhigh is a decent song, although when I hear it, I am also struck by how lite AM it sounds. I'm not sure if it was their only hit. Maybe it was their only hit in the US?

I am proud to own a copy of the "Sky High" 45. It practically defines what AM radio sounded like in the 70's. In my hood, at least.

And the Sky High fans come out of the woodwork! That's great! Usually when I mention it, people just look confused. It really is catchy and you're right - if you hear this, you've got a great idea of the sounds of 70s am radio.
