The Mystery of Dracula's Castle

This was going to be my next post even before seeing a reference to it on Bubblegumfinks Sigmund and the Seamonsters bubblegum cards.

What kid wouldn't want to see Johnny and Scott in the Wonderful World of Disneys "The Mystery of Dracula's Castle!?" I remember being very excited about seeing this movie. Unfortunately I dont' remember anything about it. I'd really like to see it now as live action Disney kids movies in the 1970s were excellent!

This was a fave of mine. I saw it the time it premiered back in January of '73. I had just turned 10. It was cool. Almost like a live action "Scooby-Doo" type mystery, except no dog, no hippy, no van, well it still reminded me of "Family Affair" with Jody, but no...

Too bad there is nothing left of Disney on the so-called "Disney Channel" anymore. Unless I'm mistaken, they did show this on occasion, late at night anyway, many moons ago.

Maybe the Hallmark Channel could show it sometime, since they seem to be the only ones who air any of the old live-action Disney stuff these days.

They Mystery of the Mystery of Dracula's Castle. I think that says it all.

It will haunt me forever. Especially since those books Dave mentions are so damn lame (I should know, I tried to sell one of them on eBay once).

Woah, very cool to find books based on the movie, especially if they have a picture from the movie on the cover.
