Space 1999 was a short lived late 1970s tv show, and this is one of the novels that was released. I used to watch the show every week even though all the main characters were old and none were cute. Actually they don't seem that old to me now. I was really into sci-fi and was upset when this show went off the air. I don't remember much about it, except that in one show there was a disgusting corpse which had no skin. It really freaked me out. I think I remember the show mostly because I bought the four paperback novels.

Space 1999....boy were they wrong
Space 1999 was a short lived late 1970s tv show, and this is one of the novels that was released. I used to watch the show every week even though all the main characters were old and none were cute. The entire series is available on DVD, if you'd like to relive old memories. Be prepared, though -- it hasn't aged especially well. Lots of bellbottom pants.

I used to own the toy model of the spaceship. It was without a doubt the coolest spaceship toy I ever owned. Even better than the Star Wars ones.

oh, i kind of had a crush on maya. maybe she wasn't cute but i thought she was pretty cool looking.
Yikes! Well, the lack of cuteness was just my opinion. Everyone has different taste as to who is cute or who isn't - which is a good thing or everyone would want to date the same person. I can't even remember Maya. I remember the two leads shown on the cover of the book, and the old bald guy with the bushy sideburns.
